Blues Night at Macandrew Bay

King Leo will be performing at the Macandrew Bay Hall for a big night of Blues on Saturday, 11 September. Blues veteran Terry Ebeling will get the party started with a solo set, and then the King Leo band will take the stage with some high-energy sounds for your listening and dancing enjoyment. Come on out and celebrate Spring with us!

Doors open at 8:30, and the music begins at 9. Admission is $20 at the door. The Macandrew Bay Hall is on Greenacres St. just off of Portobello Rd.

Blues Spectacular!

On June 27, King Leo and the Growling Dogs will host the Blues Spectacular at the Pioneer Hall, 362 Moray Place (across from Countdown). Come out and have a blast with us in the heart of the city! The music begins at 9pm with the deep, soulful rhythms of the Julian Temple Band.

Then see what Blues shouting is all about as Tahu Mackenzie steps up to the microphone with King Leo and the Dogs and raises the roof. Finally we'll bring on the Memphis-style Blues with a deadly brass section: Trevor Coleman on trumpet and Paul Young on tenor sax.

Anders "Junior" Jensen is heading back to Norway in July, so this will be your last chance to see him with the Dogs for quite a while. Don't miss this one!

Admission is $20 at the door, and alcohol is B.Y.O.

We close the weekend with an initmate show at St. Lee's Cafe for the New Edinburgh Folk Club on Sunday, March 1.

St. Lees is a great venue for listening to music and kicking back with your favourite beverage.

The music begins at 7:30 pm. Be early as it fills real quick.

Admission to the folk club night is just a few bucks, and the Mad Love CD will be available for sale.
