End of Stage One - 19/05/2008

It's official: we got down 20 tracks in three days. After working 12 - 15 hour days, we got down what we feel to be an awesome collection of songs. Next to come will be vocals and a couple of organ tracks on two songs and then the huge task of editing it all down. Rob Thunder will be taking care of the mixing with a bit of help from the rest of the crew. With 20 tracks it will be a massive job to make it happen, but we really think it is going to be worth it. We should have some more news soon and also a couple of upcoming gigs. Keep an eye out.

Recording Update - 18/05/2008

After an earth shattering day, the Dogs are pleased to report that we got 11 tracks down by two in the morning. We laid down mostly original tunes and a couple of covers - drums, guitars and bass lines with a guide vocal. A very weary and shabby looking bunch of musos left the studio. Massive grins on their faces promising more of the same today. Big thanks to the 'Vernonator' for staying up so late and giving us a hand. Keep an eye out for an update soon.

Recording Begins - 16/05/2008

Tonight we began loading all our gear into the Albany Street Studios. Our mission is to record a great blues album. We managed to get all our gear in no worries and with a bit of help from Thunder we have nearly got all the sounds right for the various instruments. Its an exciting project and we are hoping to get a magic result. If you are interested in getting on the list to buy an album when it's finished make sure you get on our mailing list.

Black & White Ball Bus Update - 02/05/2008

If you plan to ride our Blues Bus out to Waitati, be sure to purchase the $30 ticket that includes the bus trip by mdday Friday, 9 May. We have a tentative route and schedule for the bus: the first stop is at Tonic on 138 Princes St., and pickup there will be at 7pm. We will also have a stop in at the Inch Bar in the Northeast Valley . We do not currently have plans for a stop in Port Chalmers, but if there is interest, we can do it. Yvette Palmer is handling the bus trip, so if you are riding the bus, we recommend that you email Yvette at singingwood@xtra.co.nz to get an updated schedule and route.
