Queenstown Jazz Festival
King Leo and The Growling Dogs had three great gigs at the Queenstown Jazz Festival and would like to thank everyone who came out and saw us. We made friends with a fine Brisbane blue band: Mike Frost and the Icemen - expect to see them back on this side of the Tasman soon.
Special thanks to a kind housetrucking Swedish woman who knows where to put the jack under a 1986 Toyota van. And extra special thanks to that log truck for not killing us.
Our cd is nearly complete. Actually we should say cds, as we will be releasing a double album, with 2 cds: one of all originals, and one featuring our versions of great tunes from Blues legends. The final mixed and mastered version will be ready in a week or so, and then it's on to artwork and pressing. Expect to hear more soon.
Furthermore, King Leo and The Growling Dogs are headed to the North Island in January, so get on our mailing list so you know when we will be in your town.
