Swing Time with King Leo - A Tour of the Blues
For the Fringe Festival this year King Leo will be performing at the Mayfair Theatre on Saturday, March 17th. Swing Time with King Leo is a multimedia show with music, dancing and stories of the Blues greats. We'll bring you tunes from the Delta, Chicago and many other Blues Meccas. The Swing Riot dance group will be tearing up the stage, and between songs you'll hear stories about the legends who made the Blues such a powerful force in music. We've also lined up some special guests, including veteran multi-instrumentalist and tunesmith John Egenes.

Outram School Twilight Mardi Gras
We be heading out to Outram for their Twilight Mardi Gras on Saturday, February 18th. Entry is just a gold coin, and the party will be from 4pm-11pm at Outram School, 1 Beaumaris Street, Outram. In addition to music - including a bit of Lousiana-style Zydeco from King Leo - there will be lmany other delights: gourmet food, central Otago Wines, Emerson's Beer, outdoor Movie under the Stars, Retro Alley featuring donated used goods - jewellery, clothes, books, children toys, etc, a farmyard corner to pet animals.They even have a cow to milk, a Fairies Grotto and a Pirates Treasure Island!

Waitati Summer Music Fest
King Leo will be performing at the Waitati summer music fest in Bland park (between the Waitati Hall and the motorway) on Saturday, February 11th. There will be music all afternoon, and we expect to go on around 5pm. The admission price of $5 benefits the Waitati School and Playcentre. Come on out!
Blues at the Appleby Tavern
We are heading off to Inver-Vegas (sometimes called Invercargill) for a night of Blues at the Appleby Tavern on 208 Nith St. We hit the stage on Saturday, January 28th at 9pm, and admission is $10. If you are in the area, come on out for some good-time music.

King Leo will be at the Church, 50 Dundas St. for a night of Blues on Saturday, 12 November. Come out and join the fun!
The 5th Long Beach Blues Ball
This show is becoming a tradition - 2011 is the 5th year for the Ball at the Hall, and Hana Fahy will be joining us, so don't miss it! Hana is one of the region's finest singer/songwriters, and she will be warming up the hall before King Leo brings you the hard-drivin' Blues. As always there will be delicious refreshments provided by (and benefiting) Purakanui School, so come along hungry.
